APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN FOR THE 
2024 CREATIVE FACILITATOR TRAINING

Held this summer, Story Parlor and Inward & Artward present an interactive 18-week program on how to create and facilitate unique offerings rooted in the intersection of the creative process, personal stories, and the human condition. Along with developing creativity-based facilitation strategies and tools, participants will tend to their individual creative practices, as well as building self awareness, personal presence, and confidence with delivering content to groups. Tailored for folks interested in starting a new and fulfilling career path, or simply wanting to deepen and/or refresh their approach to holistic creative facilitation.

A collection of poetry, skits, and monologues centered on resiliency presented by the Black Diamond Group Performance Ensemble — an all black acting group based in Asheville.

Thursday, March 7| ALL ARTS OPEN MIC
Prepare a five minute original piece in whatever medium you so choose — storytelling, music, poetry, literature, comedy, dance — or simply come to enjoy and support the local arts community.

The Campfireball is an immersive storytelling show created live and in the moment out of stories from the audience. No two shows are alike, none will ever be seen again. This month’s theme — FATE!

The Lake Eden Writing Retreat | May 19-24, 2024
On the site of The LEAF Festival near Black Mountain, NC

Join esteemed writing teachers Nickole Brown, Allan Wolf, and James Navé for The Lake Eden Writing Retreat at the scenic Lake Eden near Black Mountain, North Carolina, on the LEAF Festival grounds and the former campus of Black Mountain College. 

The Lake Eden Writing Retreat will address your entire journey as a writer. Every aspect is covered, from handling criticism constructively, building a diverse writing portfolio, networking with peers, and finding reliable research sources. You'll leave with enhanced writing skills and strategies for finding publishing avenues and adapting to different genres.

Guest speakers include Mildred Kinconco Barya, Diamond Forde, Sebastian Matthews, Kelly Hanson, Opal Keen, and Eliza Santiago.
