ABOUT THE BANDS
Descolada is the musical child of Asheville, North Carolina based singer-songwriter Colton Ray Nelson. Descolada's sound treads the line between Country & Folk. The sounds of pedal steel, banjo, organ and fiddle are weaved into a bed of authentic, good ol’ Country vibes, with Colton’s sullen vocals taking listeners through a collection of heartfelt stories.
As Descolada, Colton released his debut record ‘Big Dam Foolishness’ in September 2021. It was recorded by Garrett Langebartels of Naptime Recordings in Indianapolis, Indiana. Big Dam Foolishness touches on themes of family, grief and loss, with an array of traditional instrumentation used to get his brand of melancholia across.
Jon Charles Dwyer is a folk-influenced singer-songwriter based in Asheville, NC. With roots in punk, metal, and indie music, he has crafted a unique sound that is both hungry and curious. His haunting voice and poignant lyrics transfix and pierce to the crux, delivering distilled, honest emotion.
Vandiver is the moniker of Appalachian singer/songwriter Andrew Hammond. From the foothills of Hall County, GA, Hammond found his musical beginnings in Brooklyn NY, creating a soulful, immersive, lyric-driven and often Avant approach to modern American Folk music. Andrew's powerful yet brittle vocal style has warmed and awed crowds in venues across the USA. Vandiver is the expansion of that intimate, raw expression into a much larger vessel.
Lonesome Station is a live music production company based in Asheville, NC that hosts events in non-traditional spaces with the aim of bringing unique and intimate experiences to both artists and audiences.
