R. Lyon Bergh

  • R. Lyon’s pedagogy is centered around the goal of empowering creative storytellers. The approach is to take the overly technical or contrasting theories of story, and re-imagine them while nurturing the creative source within. He endeavors to make the lessons grounded and approachable, meaningful, and, most importantly, applicable. The philosophy is guided by a true belief that any one who seeks, shall find; who asks, shall be answered. And he is guided by the belief that the more we learn, the more we learn we know nothing, and are here to explore that Great Mystery together— every voice is needed, and must be empowered, cherished, and shared.

  • "With gusto and grace, Lyon immerses participants in the power of multi-sensory meaning-making. From song and videoto costumes and the written word, I was transfixed by the joy of responding to the creative impulse and relaxed in the laughter of playful connections.” —Natalie Callahan

“Lyon is a true visionary and creative steward. With a depth of knowledge infused by an insatiable curiosity, Lyon’s offerings yield an air of alchemy that naturally lead participants to unlock the wisdom already within them.” — Erin Hallagan Clare
