With over a decade of experience in communication, conflict resolution, and organizational development, Talya brings a heart-centered and strategic approach to every role she undertakes.
Hailing from Sedona, Arizona, Talya grew up surrounded by creativity and introspection, shaping her lifelong commitment to meaningful connection and personal growth. She earned her B.S. in Human Communication from Arizona State University, where she founded Civility Instead, a student organization focused on facilitating productive dialogue on complex issues. Her mediation, civil dialogue, and group facilitation training has equipped her with tools to navigate interpersonal dynamics, amplify voices, and build cohesive communities.
Throughout her career, Talya has worked across corporate, nonprofit, and creative spaces, excelling at building relationships, managing operations, and cultivating cultures of authenticity and collaboration. But it was at Story Parlor—where she found her creative home and personal community—that she rediscovered her passion for storytelling as a vehicle for transformation.
In her role as Development and Operations Director, Talya oversees event operations, sponsorship development, and the creation of digital materials. She is dedicated to amplifying Story Parlor’s mission to inspire, connect, and uplift through storytelling, ensuring that it continues to thrive as a hub for creative expression and meaningful connection.
For Talya, this role represents a full-circle moment—combining her professional skills with her love for community-building and storytelling.
