Tim has been a guitarist and performing musician for over 30 years and holds degrees in guitar performance from the University of North Carolina Greensboro and Indiana State University. He has worked as a professional performer and music educator in Austin, Texas, Indiana, and Western NC for the past twenty years. Tim is also an active composer and has recorded and produced original compositions for guitar and guitar ensembles. He has also recorded as a guest artist and band member for several projects during his time.
As an educator, Tim has worked as a private guitar instructor and served as the director of both the Terre Haute Guitar Club and The Asheville Guitar Club, programs inspired by his work under the directorship of Robert Fripp with Guitar Craft and Guitar Circles. Tim is also one of the founders and director of the annual resident Rock Camp for the ISU Community School of the Arts in Indiana, plus co-director of the UNCA Jazz Summer Intensive. Tim currently serves as the lead instructor and creative director for Music Academy Asheville’s Rock Academy program and is an adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina Asheville and founder/director of the UNCA Contemporary Guitar Ensemble.
Tim has served as a bandleader for his projects Polydactyl Hemingway, Lunes Domingo, and Strange Signals. He has been a member of bands such as Stickman (NC), The Leonard Washingtons (IN), Drayton and The Dreamboats (NC), Rebecca and The Reckoning (NC), Mosaic (TX), The Orchestra of Crafty Guitarist, Joni Mitchell Tribute Project (NC), Mongoose (TX), plus as a hired gun for musicians like Micheal Jeffrey Stevens, Blake Elege, and Jason Decristofaro. Tim has also performed for shows such as Divas 3, Hands on a Hardbody, Seussical the Musical, Back To the 80’s, and Children of Eden.

Guitarist, arranger, and educator Dr. Andy Jurik actively explores the intersection of classical and popular music. He has presented lectures and performances at the Guitar Foundation of America Convention, Dublin Guitar Symposium, Radford University International Guitar Festival, Rochester Classical Guitar, Austin Peay State University Guitarfest, Carnegie Mellon University, and the Southern Exposure concert series. His 2020 debut recording strive was praised by Acoustic Guitar magazine ("A fine album from beginning to end"), Soundboard ("Each piece…is well done and eminently enjoyable"), and Minor 7th ("Highly recommended for all fans of classical, jazz, and acoustic music"). Andy's arrangements of Brazilian, classical, and folk songs have been published by Guitar Chamber Music Press and Fingerstyle Guitar Journal. He lives in Asheville, NC, where he teaches at UNC Asheville and Western Carolina University, records instrument demo videos for Dream Guitars, and directs the Asheville Classical Guitar Society. Andy teaches at the University of North Carolina Asheville and Western Carolina University, and directs the Asheville Classical Guitar Society.

Steve Newbrough stands out as a dynamic presence in the music scene, showcasing his versatility as both a solo guitarist and chamber musician. A musician of diverse talents, he has skillfully played the guitar in various styles and settings. Whether collaborating in the internationally-acclaimed Minneapolis Guitar Quartet, accompanying gospel choirs, or delving into twentieth-century compositions with diverse ensembles. His recent album, "Transcendent Figures," features some of the most revered and beloved compositions for the classical guitar. Newbrough's musical journey began under the guidance of Gordon Kreplin in Elizabeth City, NC. Further refining his craft, he earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts under the mentorship of Joseph Pecoraro. His commitment to excellence propelled him to achieve a Master of Music Degree in Classical Guitar Performance under Jeffrey Van at the University of Minnesota in 2008. Currently, Mr. Newbrough contributes to the musical education landscape, serving on the faculty at Clemson University, Furman University, and the New England Music Camp.
