Where do ideas come from? Everywhere! We’re all surrounded by media, conversations, and experiences just waiting to be repurposed into art. There’s no need to start from scratch!
The Pocket Project offers a monthly dose of inspiration for artists who want to jump-start new work, overcome blocks, return to creativity, or play and experiment with fresh ideas.
Taking cues from books like Steal Like An Artist by Austin Kleon and The Creative Habit by Twyla Tharp, we’ll borrow and recycle great ideas from other artists to create new work through our own lenses. (The name of the workshop refers to “pocketing” cool creative techniques.) Expect creativity prompts, hands-on making, and group collaborations, plus plenty of discussions about every aspect of creativity.
