O•VAD•YA is an original, neo-psychedelic band with intense, nuanced transcendent acoustic/electric and world (mid-east) music textures... We play from delicate nuanced “psychedelic” acoustic to crunchy, addictive, unusual rock. We've all had our 16 minutes of fame, haha.

The band has been playing before extremely diverse audiences for over 15 years... From opening for Eric Burdon & the Animals, to Piamenta (the “Israeli Jimi Hendrix”) & benefits, to clubs to live radio, from festivals to intimate coffee houses. Our music has been featured on radio nationally & locally in both Chicago & Asheville (WXRT, WNUR, WBEZ, WNUR, WLUP, WPVM, Asheville FM, & many more), charting in CMJ & grabbing major (Polygram) label interest & indie label offers. Individually, the members have been written up from the Chicago Tribune to Guitar World Magazine and much more. The Asheville incarnation of the band boasts a group of sought-after local & nationally known musicians.
