We all carry stories—some lived, some inherited, some imagined—that shape how we see ourselves and move through the world. Story Lab is a creative space for artists of all backgrounds and mediums to explore the narrative threads of their lives with curiosity, play, and a spirit of discovery. Through guided exercises, prompts, and collaborative reflection, we’ll work with memory, personal mythology, and imaginative reframing to generate new ideas and deepen creative self-understanding.
Whether you’re a writer, performer, visual artist, or maker of any kind, this class is designed to help you unearth fresh creative material rooted in your own lived experience.

Please note: While this is not a therapeutic group, the material we touch may occasionally stir emotional content. For this reason, participants should be in a place where they feel resourced enough to look back on life experiences and hold what arises. We encourage each person to bring a commitment to honoring their own boundaries and edges, and to come with practices (formal or informal) that support their emotional wellbeing.
This class is rooted in creative possibility—not catharsis. We’re not here to “solve” the past, but to explore it as fertile ground for making meaning, finding voice, and crafting work that is bold, honest, and artful.
