Does your mind come to a blank when you sit down to write? Parallelized by overthinking? Is there a story buried deep inside you that’s been yearning to come out?
This 5-week series will offer you a powerful, new approach to discovering story— one of bones and flesh.
Our bodies hold innate wisdom and memory that we cannot access with the thinking mind. Through beginner-level, somatic and yogic practices, we'll connect with the wild world beneath the brain to explore how this connection acts as an opening to easy, more authentic creative writing.
Expect a combination of gentle and accessible movement, writing prompts, and optional group sharing. Come to deepen your connection with your body and its instincts, and awaken the story that lives within you!
The lessons and exercises in this workshop will meet all levels of writers and yogis. If you’ve never tried either, this is the perfect place to start.
