Come celebrate the new season of

BLACK DIAMOND GROUP PERFORMANCE ENSEMBLE

at Story Parlor for Black History Month 2026.  We are a small, Black Acting Troupe in Asheville. This year our program theme is “Remembering Black History, Remembering Ourselves”  as a way to show the groups literary, theatrical, spiritual as well as historical roots and shoulders stood upon.

We have prepared a crisp show consisting of original poetry, storytelling, visual art as well as dedications to historical figures such as: Nikki Giovanni, Maya Angelou, Langston Hughes, Ella Baker and James Farmer Jr.  Additionally, we include a host of  memorable old school music and gospel singing!

The audience is invited into powerful memories of who we, as a people and country, have been, still are - and who we are preparing to become as we walk into to this new year and new season of our lives

Please come and enjoy!
