We'll come together on Sunday, June 25, 2023, from 5-7 pm in the heart of West Asheville to celebrate the launch of James Navé’s new book, 100 Days: Poems After Cancer, published by 3: A Taos Press. Limit 49. You’re invited, and admission is free.

  • About James Navé

    James Navé is a writer, poetic storyteller, creative consultant, and manuscript coach. With an MFA in writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts, he has honed his craft to a high level of excellence.

    Through The Imaginative Storm Writing Project and his creative collaborator, Allegra Huston, he has created a unique approach to coaching writers at all levels.

    His latest work, 100 Days: Poems After Cancer, has been featured on NPR's Weekend Edition and will be published by 3: A Taos Press in May 2023. In addition, he has co-authored two Imaginative Storm books: How to Read for an Audience and Write What You Don't Know: Ten Steps to Writing with Confidence, Energy, and Flow.

    He is proud to air a weekly Imaginative Storm podcast called Twice 5 Miles Radio on WPVM-FM, 103.7, Asheville, and streaming on SoundCloud.

    As an advisory board member of LEAF Global Arts, TEDx Asheville, and WPVMFM-Asheville, Navé brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to these organizations. He also served as the director of The Taos Storytelling Festival and The Taos Poetry Festival from 2016-2021. Additionally, he co-founded The Artist's Way Creativity Camp with Julia Cameron, the author of the popular book on creativity, The Artist's Way.

    With over 600 memorized poems and a background in poetic storytelling, Navé has performed shows and taught writing, creativity, and public speaking worldwide, including locations such as Nouakchott, Mauritania, Galway, Ireland, Bangkok, Thailand, Paris, France, Lima, Peru, and various places around the U.S.
