Tale Re-Told: an immersive story-theater experience (for grown-ups)

  • Story Parlor 227 Haywood Road Asheville, NC, 28806 United States (map)

Tale Re-Told is an immersive, two-act story-theater experience for grown-ups that transforms a single traditional tale into a space for collective reimagining.

In Act I, storyteller Carolina Quiroga guides audience volunteers through a faithful performance of a folktale using narration, puppets, and playful direction. After a short break, the audience joins in a creative brainstorm—rethinking characters, outcomes, and meanings. Then, in Act II, the story is retold, but reshaped through improvisation, fragmentation, and shared imagination.

This is a space where stories evolve—and everyone has a hand in the telling.
