Unlike any other form of writing, the screenplay is not meant to be read— it is meant to be made. If you’ve ever dreamed of seeing the fantastic visions in your head projected onto a forty-foot screen, this class is where that begins.

How to write for three audiences at once: The Producer, The Artists, and the Viewer

In their own words: A creative writer and performer since the elementary years, I have a life-long love for the interplay between artist and audience, and the conversation that occurs in that connection; the questions of what it is to be alive and to be human.
I am autistic, artistic, optimistic, and intuitive; I bring a unique, often challenging, perspective to the subjects I teach and the wisdom I share. I seek humanity and the divine in everything I do. My areas of specialization are in narrative fiction, coaching neuro-divergent thinkers, the art of tarot, and the fundamentals of story.
Lyon is an Inward&Artward certified creative facilitator. They were the Creative Writing and Story instructor for Asheville School of Film from 2020 - 2025. An alumni of The Delaware Theatre Company, The New York Studio for Stage and Screen, Wilmington University, and Asheville School of Film.
They have had the opportunity to learn directly from accomplished industry professionals, some with names you’d know, some you likely wouldn’t.
