Led by Story Parlor founder, Erin Hallagan Clare, this half-day workshop offers a deep dive into the basic elements of storytelling and how to transform true-to-life experiences into well-crafted, engaging stories for the stage.
Students will:
Learn techniques for identifying and developing story-worthy personal narratives
Explore narrative structure, pacing, and emotional impact in storytelling
Engage in creative exercises to deepen their connection to their stories
Build confidence in both the story crafting, and the art of telling
Participants are asked to bring three possible (true-life) stories to class; we will use these as a foundation to hone in on one in particular to develop during our time together. Whether you're a seasoned storyteller or new to the scene, this class will provide the tools you need to shape your experiences into engaging performances.
